Just received this email about Ed (Pookey) Dobranich) from one of his friends (Tim McCullough). Will keep everyone updated on his condition.

Just to let you all know, Ed (Pookey to some of you), was taken to North Cypress Hospital yesterday via ambulance. We are not certain at this time as to what is wrong, but he was admitted into ICU for observation. When I got to his house, he was not lucid and seemed to be hallucinating somewhat. At the hospital he had a temp of 103 and was isolated for fear of some infectious disease. He also had a CT of his brain and it was noted that there was calcium build up in his arteries. So there is thought of possibly a stroke. However, at this point I don't have any more information.
Please keep him and his family in your prayers, but please don't try to visit yet as he is in ICU and his sister (Cheryl) and his mom are with him and visitation is limited to 2 people for 30 minutes. I will reply all with more answers…again the important thing is to pray for him and his family

ReplyDeleteAlthough Ed still has a horrific headache and is very hungry, he is doing much better. They continue to monitor his blood pressure and some stomach pains. They have run all sorts of tests on him but there hasn't been anyone thing identified as to the cause of his confused state of mind this weekend. If nothing else, he is getting a great physical! Ed is still in ICU but plans are being made to move him to a regular room. Thank you for everyone's concern and prayers.

ReplyDeleteMore updates on Ed...I talked to Pook last night and he seemed to get out of breathe easily, but was doing better. The docs want to run a lower GI on him, which I would have thought would have been done. They did scope his stomach with no indications of problems. His head feels good. He's been on an eating regiment, but that all went straight through him, hence the lower GI. Hopefully, he will be sent home today. He's at North Cypress Med Ctrand the phone is 281.955.5898 but I forgot his room number. The operators have a hard time with his last name FYI. Thank you all for your prayers. Pookey is very appreciative of those.
